David Mitzelfeldt, DVM
Dr. Mitzelfeldt, co-owner of La Crosse Veterinary Clinic and graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice in 1992. With over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, becoming a veterinarian wasn’t a decision for him; it was his destiny. He loves interacting with his employees and watching the bond between owners and their pets. He is married with three daughters, and as a cat lover, he also has two tuxedo cats at home. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, reading, bicycling, working in the yard, and listening to music. Being a veterinarian and a father, he considers every day to be an adventure and looks forward to what each new day brings at the clinic.
Jamie Skime, DVM
Dr. Skime, co-owner of La Crosse Veterinary Clinic, has been with the veterinary team since 2008. She earned her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, and she is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Dental Society. With her years as a veterinarian, she has had the opportunity to have a number of memorable experiences. One of the most notable was during her involvement at the Miracle of Birth Center at the Minnesota State Fair, the birthplace of nearly 200 calves, lambs, goats, and piglets. She loves working with animals and helping people understand their pets’ health needs. She is married and has two dogs, three cats, two goats, a horse, and a donkey. In her free time, she loves doing yoga, reading, and hiking.
Anne-Kristi Lee, DVM
Dr. Lee joined the team in 2010 as associate veterinarian after earning her DVM from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. Her journey to becoming a veterinarian began at a young age. She grew up on a hobby farm, where she was immediately drawn to animals. She has always had a love for animals, and enjoys the new and exciting experiences that arise at the clinic, including performing surgery and helping pets recover. Working as an associate veterinarian allows her to educate pet owners and promote a healthy human-animal bond, which she also enjoys. She shares her home with two dogs and three cats, and loves spending time with her family and playing the violin and guitar.
Jill Kindermann, DVM
Pursuing her love of animals and science,Dr. Kindermann became one of our newest associate veterinarians in June of 2015. A graduate of Michigan State University, she has completed continuing education courses in dentistry, ultrasound, and multi-specialty conferences. She loves helping pets and keeping them healthy, and she has a special interest in emergency medicine, critical care, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Kindermann is married with a son and shares her home with a Pomeranian named Penny, a Bichon named Sebastian, and a cat named Lucy. When she’s not caring for pets at La Crosse Veterinary Clinic, she spends her free time with family, reads, swims, and watches Michigan State sports.
